Shuttering is always calculated in square meter.
Step:1 – Lets assume column data:
Column type – square column
Size of column – 300 mm x 300 mm
Height of column – 3 meter
Step:2: Calculate quantity of column shuttering or formwork:
Shuttering or Formwork of column = Perimeter x depth
Column sides = 0.3 m
Perimeter = 4 sides of column = 4 x 0.3 = 1.2 meter
Shuttering / formwork quantity of column = 1.2 x 3 = 3.6 sqmt
So, for 300 mm x 300 mm column shuttering or formwork quantity is 3.6 sqmt
